We still had a couple of days to go walking before we had to head back to Hobart. The weather still looked a bit dicey so Lake Judd was the best option. Down low and very sheltered.
Everyone loaded up with two days of food and dried out the tents. Then set off for Lake Judd. Most of the trail is board walk so easy going.
Seven km of mostly board walk later we arrived at Lake Judd. Nice sheltered camp site for about six tents. The lake was much bigger than expected but had no beach.

Very windy night with huge gusts. The cloud had dropped down well below Mt Anne. And it looked like rain early in the day instead of the forecast 5pm. We decided a hamburger for lunch at Maydena was a much better option than exploring around the lake. So we hiked back out to the car.
